As a YMCA, we are part of the largest provider of safe, supported accommodation for young people in England and Wales.
If you are currently homeless, or threatened with homelessness, you can access support by:
Contacting or visiting a P2i (Pathway to Independence) Hub.
P2i hubs are based on a one-stop shop model with access to District Council Housing Options Teams, County Council Leaving Care Workers, Targeted Youth Support Intervention workers and experienced and knowledgeable provider staff in some areas.
A P2I Hub operates in each District serving as the main access point to these P2i services and will provide advice and information on a range of issues and provide assessment, co-ordination and support to people aged between 16-25yrs (inclusive)

If you are referred to YMCA Mendip & South Somerset, we provide 100+ units within a range of supported housing projects, alongside single, shared and emergency accommodation within the Mendip & South Somerset area. Offering a home and support needed by young people to develop skills, prepare for independent living and access to training, education, employment and social & leisure opportunities.
MOMO is a modular resettlement programme aimed at supporting all our residents towards the goal of independent living. Topics covered include Health & Wellbeing, Housing Options, Budgeting, Anti-social Behaviour, Education, Training and Employment and Sustaining a Tenancy.
We offer a deposit scheme which ‘guarantees’ against damage or theft caused by a tenant; and is equivalent to one month’s rent. This is available for the first year of the tenancy. Applicants should be in receipt of benefits or be on a very low income and have a local connection the Mendip Area.
An adaptable 6-10 week programme delivered through a modular workbook, which is available to anyone homeless, or at risk of losing their home. This help is offered in order to assist a person to develop the skills and knowledge required to improve their chances of securing and maintaining a tenancy.
Resettlement support is offered to 16-25 year olds who are homeless, or threatened with homelessness and in need of support.
Our prevention support is aimed at helping people remain in their existing home, as long as it is secure, but most importantly, safe to do so.
For those people who move on from our housing projects, support is wide ranging; and will include help with finding and securing accommodation, setting up home and assisting with the transition to independent living.
