Salary: £21,100 pa (Full time equivalent)                                         

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week on average (job sharing is a possibility)

You will be required to work on a rota which includes days, evenings and weekends within our supported housing project and dispersed accommodation units

Location: Home based+ Yeovil

Hours: 6 hours per week for each post during term time only

Rate of Pay:        £12.75 per hour

The Role:

The session provides a safe place, support, advice, fun and respite for Young Carers (aged from 8 to 18 years old), providing relief from responsibilities and allow the carers to enjoy being a child.

Young carers will have access to opportunities and activities to meet other young carers in similar circumstances.

The activities will be shaped around the young carer’s needs and what they want to do in their groups.

You may have experience as or in:  Outreach Worker, Support Staff, Support Worker, Challenging Behaviour, Voluntary Sector, Social Work, Social Care Worker, Teaching, Teaching Assistant, Community Services, Community Development, Youth Work, Youth Worker, Detached Youth Worker and Youth Provision

Qualification: Level 3 in Youth work or equivalent

The post holder will:

  • be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS
  • be able to respect the Christian ethos of the YMCA and uphold its values.

Youth and Community Empowerment Team Leader

Location: Yeovil Westfield & Milford youth clubs

Hours: 24 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £12.75 per hour

The Role:

To ensure that Westfield & Milford youth club is a space where; young people can safely meet, have fun, learn life skills and how to influence change and make a difference in their communities.  A space where young people are heard and their opinions are valued, therefore giving them a sense of belonging and ownership.

To facilitate dynamic challenging and fun programmes.
